Parents of an Ohio State running back received the call of a lifetime
On Wednesday morning, the Ohio State Buckeyes' depth chart didn't have a clear starting running back listed.
But a few hours later, in an emotion-filled phone call, Mike Weber was named the starter at tailback for the Ohio State. His parents received the news first – and their reactions are everything we love about sports.

This isn't really a surprise. Weber was listed next to teammate Curtis Samuel at No. 1 with an "or" in between. But after a few successful practices, head coach Urban Meyer called Weber "outstanding" and named him the starter.
It's an Ohio State tradition for the coaching staff to make calls to a player's parents when he becomes a starter. But for a parent, this unconventional routine is the call of a lifetime.
