Two Dogs Attack And Kill Their Owner In Colorado

Two dogs are suspected of attacking and ultimately killing their owner on Monday night, reports WTSP.

According to KUSA, the incident occurred at the female victim's home in Conifer, Colorado.

Officers with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call about the assault at around 7 pm, notes the Denver Post.

It reportedly took officers about 30 minutes to contain the aggressive dogs which are believed to be pit bull terrier mixes.

The unnamed woman, who may have been in a wheelchair, was pronounced dead at the house while her son was treated at a hospital for minor injuries he sustained while trying to intervene.

The dogs are still alive and have been handed over to the local animal control center while officers investigate the case, reports KUSA.
