Loved ones planning to celebrate the long-anticipated marriage of a South Carolina woman and her adoring fiancé are instead coming together to mourn the bride-to-be's life, tragically cut short at 41 after she suffered a fatal heart attack.

Stacey Scott-Bond was ready to finally marry the love of her life, Guy A. Weaver, after nearly six years together.

The couple was set to marry August 20, but now it will be the day of Scott-Bond's burial.

"You was getting married ... we just talked about how you wasn't a bridezilla," one of Scott-Bond's bridesmaids wrote on Facebook in a heartbreaking tribute to the mother of four. "It was supposed to be a celebration of love, instead it's turning into a celebration of life."

Scott-Bond died of a heart attack after saying she felt she was having a panic attack on August 12, her mother, Elizabeth Lovell told the Island Packet of Hilton Head.

She had been running last-minute errands in preparation for her wedding, a friend wrote on a GoFundMe page created to offset burial costs.

"Now, her family is preparing a funeral instead on minimal funds," because most of their money had been allocated for the wedding, the GoFundMe page said.

The sudden and unexpected loss has left Scott-Bond's family devastated.

"Why why why why god why," one of her daughter's wrote on Facebook. "She was gonna have the time of her life [at her wedding]."

Scott-Bond was set to wear a mermaid-style wedding dress on the big day, a "peaches and cream" themed event to take place at a Georgian-style mansion in downtown Augusta, Georgia.

Instead, she will be buried in her dress as her groom says goodbye, wearing the white tuxedo he planned to don on the day he said "I do."

Her seven bridesmaids, maid of honor and flower girls will also wear the outfits meant for a happier time, peach-colored dresses Scott-Bond chose for her bridal party to wear as they stood by her side. The ring bearer will also wear his little white tux.

"The last six years of my life with Stacey, she has been one of the happiest people in the world," Weaver told the Island Packet. "And this wedding, it was just a happy, happy, happy time for her."

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the First Zion Missionary Baptist Church and funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Campbell Chapel AME Church in Bluffton, South Carolina.
