Mercedes driver accidentally reverse parks on top of $300,000 red hot Ferrari

Have you ever dreamed of driving a Ferrari? Or, better yet, showing that Ferrari who's boss and parking right on top of it?

No? Well, someone else out there must have, and that dream became a reality.

The driver of a Mercedes 380SL backed up right on top of the shiny hood of a red hot Ferrari.

At the weekly automotive gathering of premiere cars, Katie's Cars & Coffee, onlookers were in complete shock when they witnessed the classic Mercedes taking a detour on top of the coveted car.

This mistake cost the owners a pretty penny: 300 thousand of them to be exact.

The incident had people buzzing on Twitter on Facebook. One poster was upset about missing it, writing, "I missed the mating of the Benz and the 458!" alongside a photo of the damaged hood.

The owner was just as dumbfounded as the onlookers. When he arrived, he exclaimed, "are you serious?" and, "That's like the dumbest thing I've ever seen."

Those who are familiar with the value of luxury cars know this incident could seriously harm the value of the car. This was a main topic of conversation on Facebook and Carfox.

At least after the Mercedes driver shells out the big bucks for repairs, she'll technically be able to tell people she bought a Ferrari.
