In life, there are two pairs of natural-born sworn nemeses that seemingly can never be overcome -- cats and mice, and dogs and mailmen.

But one suburban pup and his letter-delivering pal defied the odds to become the best of friends, and footage of their beautiful relationship is warming hearts around the internet.

Kyza, a 9-month-old German shepherd, always gets looked upon as a dangerous or unapproachable dog due to his size and intimidating breed, according to his owner, Michael Collins.

But one person who refuses to judge Kyza by his looks is Collins' mailman.

"Everyday whether or not we have mail this mail man always stops to see my dog," said Collins in a Facebook video of an interaction between the two friends.

Despite what others may think of the German shepherd, "this guy here always makes an effort to get off his bike to give him a hug and a pat!" said Collins.

Since it was posted, Collins' touching video has been viewed nearly 1.5 million times, and shared almost 10,000 times.

Collins says he hopes it gets shared enough times that the mystery mailman sees the post and knows how much he appreciates the kindness he has shown his beloved pet.

"I'm not sure who to tag on Facebook for him to see this," Collins ended his touching note, "but thanks man keep up the good job and you've definitely got a friend waiting for ya!!"
