It's been quite the political week here in the United States, with the Democratic National Convention wrapping up Thursday night. While Hillary Clinton accepted the party's nomination for President, protesters made their voices heard around the arena and Republican candidate Donald Trump continued to campaign.

Elsewhere around the country and in the world, Pope Francis visited Poland, severe weather hit from California to China, and communities mourned victims of attacks in Florida and Japan.
