Delegates from California to Iowa made it clear Monday night that they were not ready to concede Sen. Bernie Sanders' political revolution. Throughout the first day of the Democratic convention, multiple speeches from left-wing powerhouses like Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren, and even Sen. Sanders himself were interrupted by impassioned delegates.

Chants of "we trusted you," and "you sold out" were shushed by waves of Clinton supporters as delegates held up signs that read "No TPP," an issue Hillary Clinton has only recently come around to supporting.

Some delegates inside the arena even defaced pro-Clinton signs that were passed out by the DNC. "Stronger Together" signs were marked up with Sharpie to read "Stop Her," while "Love Trumps Hate" signs was made to read "Bernie Trumps Hate."

Ultimately, the question on a lot of people are asking is why Sanders supporters are so adamant in refusing to back Clinton as the nomniee.

"All I know is that I would never vote for Donald Trump, and beyond that I don't know."

"We changed 'Stronger Together' to 'Stop Her' because Clinton has not embraced the values of the progressive political revolution," California delegate Robert Shearer said.

Speaking with AOL News, Shearer explained that Clinton's political history is keeping him from embracing the presumptive nominee. "In fact we feel that due to the places where she takes her money, and her voting record, that she stands on the wrong side of the issues," Shearer said.

When asked if Sanders' speech did anything on Monday night to convince the California delegate to, as Sanders declared, "stand with her," Shearer offered a larger picture of what the movement means to Sanders supporters.

"This movement is more than a campaign, it's much bigger than any one person. The reason you're seeing Sanders delegates in a frenzy here tonight is because the father of our political revolution is endorsing a candidate that stands in stark contrast to the values that we are fighting for," Shearer continued.

A fellow California delegate named Paul Sasso said his unwavering support for Sanders comes down to his belief that the Vermont senator has the best chance at winning in November.

"I'm fighting really hard here at this convention because I know that he could slaughter Donald Trump in the general election," Sasso said.

However, Sasso was reluctant to plant his flag in the "Bernie or bust" camp when asked if he would vote Clinton over Trump in November. "All I know is that I would never vote for Donald Trump, and beyond that I don't know," said Sasso.

Jimmie Woods-Gray, a pro-Clinton delegate, offered a more unifying message after hearing Sanders' DNC address. "I appreciated the speech because it confirms my belief that we have more in common then we have disagreements on," he said.

Woods-Gray also has an idea why some Sanders supporters are so reluctant migrate their support over to Clinton.

"I think they are upset because they didn't win. I call it a sore loser."
