You could say life is pretty peachy for Keke Palmer.

The singer/actress plays wooly mammoth Peaches in "Ice Age: Collision Course," opening Friday. You know Palmer from her years headlining the Nick show "True Jackson V.P." and now, on the Fox hit "Scream Queens," which returns in September for a second season.

Here's what matters to Palmer.

This time, the plot was so very relatable to Palmer. "I'm so excited to be in this 'Ice Age.' It's about Peaches transitioning her relationship from being a kid to being an adult. That's a lot like me. I'm not getting married but I know what it's like to want to go and live on your own and experience life without your parents. It's all about being honest. Kids tiptoe around it. You have to show your parents you're serious about what you think. You go out and just do it."

Being in another "Ice Age" was pivotal for Palmer. "I was way more confident and way more relaxed. The first time, I was nervous and critical of my animated voice. You can't be shy. You have to just do it. I was so ready."

Which means literally letting it rip when you're voicing your character. "You have to let go. You realize you're either possibly gonna look like a fool or have a bad performance. And having a bad performance is never going to be it for me. I am a perfectionist to the core."

Her Instagram is a style inspo to her fans. And she's decisive about what images she shares on social media. "I really go by how I'm feeling. I'm all about expression. My style really came to where it is now because I didn't want to limit myself based on others' ideas of fashion. I started to be carefree. It's unique to me. It's fun to play with."

She's cautious about what she posts. "That's a good question. It's not about being interesting or this and that. I want to be an example of positivity. I post things that I think will uplift or inspire or encourage."

Palmer is equally leery of being called a role model. That's a lot of pressure to be flawless. "Role model means perfect. I am a real model. Since I was a teenager, people had ideas that celebrities are better than them. No one is better than anyone. I want to give off a positive vibe."

So if Peaches could date any celebrity, who would it be? "Peaches would definitely date Drake. I know everyone loves him but he's for Peaches."
