Trump Campaign Denies Melania Plagiarized Parts of Michelle Obama's Speech

The first day and night of the Republican National Convention is in the books -- but not without controversy.

Donald Trump's wife, Melania, was the keynote speaker last night, and political experts said she was attempting to soften the Donald's image, talking about his character and compassion.

But her efforts were quickly overlooked, as it appears she may have plagiarized parts of last night's speech from Michelle Obama speech eight years ago.

Trump's campaign chairman, Paul Manafort responded to the accusations Tuesday morning, saying, "These were common words and values -- that she cares about her family."

He continued, "She was speaking in front of 35 million people last night, she knew that. To think that she would be cribbing Michelle Obama's words is crazy."

The convention continues today with the following theme: Make America Work Again. Trump is also expected to be officially nominated.
