Sanders endorses Hillary Clinton

Sen. Bernie Sanders joins presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and endorses her for president at a campaign stop in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on Tuesday.

The joint event is an effort to join the two sides of the Democratic party in a state that Sanders won easily during the primary.

The endorsement from Sanders carries a lot of weight, especially after he vowed to stay in the race until the convention. The Clinton campaign is eager to win over Sanders supporters.

Clinton garnered the 2,383 delegates needed to clinch the Democratic Party's nomination on June 6, following a victory in Puerto Rico.
