Fourth of July strawberry and basil cocktail
By: Endlessly Elated
The fourth of July is a few days away and although I'm not hosting anything this year (crashing my friend's party instead) I wanted to embrace the holiday and create a festive cocktail! So this weekend amongst my many to do's I found some time to whip this one up. Okay, fine, who am I kidding, I always find time to squeeze in a cocktail or two! It's all about celebrating life, right?
Now, onto the most important part: The Cocktail. A definite must try. It's refreshing and light. A perfect summer staple. Plus it's got the whole color scheme thing going so, it can't get any better. Make this cocktail part of your hosting repertoire and I promise it won't disappoint.
2 oz. of Cointreau
1 oz. of Fresh Lime Juice
2- 3 Basil Leaves
4 oz. of Club Soda
2-3 Blueberries for garnish
1. Muddle strawberries and basil in shaker, add ice, and then fill with Cointreau and fresh lime juice.
2. Shake till you can't shake no more!
3. Top with club soda, stir and add blueberries for good measure.
Hope you all enjoy and have a fun and safe holiday!
