This week in news was dominated by major political stories, like Britain's "Brexit" vote and the sit-in staged by United States Democrats protesting gun control measures. We also saw the commemoration of the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, which marked the 75th anniversary of the Nazis invading the Soviet Union.

The weather also made headlines, with a rare strawberry moon visible around the world and wildfires once again burning in California.
