The video quality is best and the Nest App is well designed and easy to use. You can use the built-in speaker & mic to hear what's going on and also get motion or sound alerts if the Nest detects any unusual activity.

4) Arlo 720p 100% Wire-Free Security Cameras w/ Video Server + $100 Dell Gift Card $329.99

If you wanted to set-up an outdoor security or hated the idea of running wires, then the Arlo security camera by Netgear is the solution. These are entirely battery powered and include an easy to install magnetic mounting kit. They can be set to record only on motion and push alerts when triggered over WiFi. Many users buy these to set up outdoor security or if they need to easy change where they set-up a camera without the hassle of cords. This normally sells for $300 but with the bonus Dell gift card it is effectively discounted to $230, which is the best price we've seen on the 2-camera kit.

This one is for the food nerds out there. This lets you perfectly cook any fish, meat or vegetable to the exact doneness you desire without overcooking. This specific version is WiFi connected so you can control the temperature when you aren't home or start the device at a specific time so its done by the time you get home. Once you've had a perfectly done chicken breast or soft boiled egg you find its hard to do it any other way.

6) iRobot Roomba 650 Vacuum Robot $299 (Orig $374.99)

This little robot takes care of the chore of vacuuming with a push of a button. You can schedule this to clean 7x per week to stay ahead of the dirt or if you have pets. The smoke alarm is easily the most annoying device that could use an upgrade. If you are prone to setting off the fire alarm everytime you cook then this is for you. Instead of annoying beep when your battery gets low the Nest will send you an alert to your smartphone. If there is an emergency and you aren't home you will get an alert and it will tell you which alarm is going off. Lastly it self tests itself so you know it's always working.

8) Ring Wi-Fi Enabled Video Doorbell $199

This video enabled doorbell lets you see and talk to whoever comes to your door and rings your doorbell. If you are away from the house you can immediately respond to visitors without them ever knowing you aren't home. It also can be send an alert or record when it detects motion so you can catch an mazon delivery or catch any suspicious activity.
