Twitter had a lot of fun after the NFL's account was hacked
We've all had rough internet days. On Tuesday, it was the NFL's turn.
While everyone was on their lunch breaks, a clever Twitter user somehow breached access to the official @NFL account -- to announce that commissioner Roger Goodell had died.
This, of course, was not true. The (real) NFL announced minutes later that the commissioner is alive and well, and deleted the tweet.
But the fun didn't stop there.
And that was that.
But, naturally, Twitter had the last laugh.
NFL’s instant replay system really is amazing. Huge overturn on the Goodell play, as instead of being dead, he’s alive.

Because the NFL almost ran out of ways to look silly. But not just yet.
