Rose Ceremony & Eliminations: Week 2 of The Bachelorette

On this week's episode of 'The Bachelorette,' everyone's favorite former quarterback Jordan Rodgers did not get selected for the first group date or for a one-on-one date with JoJo, which begs the question: why did we even watch the first hour of this show?

Once we got through the firefighting group date in which the firefighter won (shocker), we were rewarded with some quality Jordan time at the offices of ESPN. The date began with JoJo on the set of SportsNation saying that Stephen Curry is a "pretty decent player." She also insisted she "grew up watching ESPN" rather than any specific team, probably because she's from Dallas and didn't want to admit to the entire nation that she's a Cowboys fan.

See Jordan on 'The Bachelorette' and in his football playing days:

If you didn't turn off the television immediately after that, you were treated to some seriously awkward touchdown dances and fake proposals. Jordan was fairly low-key the entire time, much to our dismay. He may have gone into the date a little too confident given his history in the NFL and the fact that he's Aaron Rodgers' brother -- a tidbit that he casually dropped once again in a pre-date interview.

Jordan didn't crack the top three of Max Kellerman and Marcellus Wiley's bachelor power rankings at the end of the date, but his new best friend James Taylor snatched the number one spot. Though we're ultimately rooting for him to get JoJo's heart, seeing him have a sweet bromance along the way certainly doesn't hurt our feelings.

The season's villain, Chad, doesn't seem too keen on Jordan (or BFF James), saying that the best thing about Jordan is his brother -- and the worst thing about him is that he's not his brother. Stay in your lane, Chad.

At the end of the day, Jordan was once again awarded a rose, so we have him for at least another week. It's unclear whether or not avid ESPN-watcher JoJo knows about big brother Aaron yet, so we're anxiously awaiting their first one-on-one to see how that goes.
