Hotel Guest In UK Found Naked And Sleepwalking In Streets

Sleepwalkers typically do not remember their nighttime movements, but one man in the U.K. will likely not forget a recent episode that involved the police.

CNN is reporting that, around 4am early Sunday morning, a hotel guest in Manchester, England, was seen walking around outside without any clothes on.

A cab driver reportedly called the police after being approached by the person; once they arrived on the scene, it was determined that the visitor "had sleep walked out onto the street."

Officers helped the man cover-up with their jackets and took him back to his hotel.

As one source told the Manchester Evening News, authorities "were satisfied that it was a case of somnambulism, and not a dare. The person involved was grateful to the officers for their help, saw a funny side to what had happened, and even asked for a selfie with [them]...."

It is unknown when or how the man was woken up; however, experts caution that care must be taken when doing so, as sleepwalkers can be confused or even defensively aggressive when roused.
