Kanye West tells Ellen he wants to be 'The Michael Jackson of apparel'

Kanye West stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to talk about hitting Mark Zuckerberg up for cash, why the lack of diversity at the Oscars bothered him and why he doesn't regret anything he's tweeted. In other words, a pretty typical Yeezy appearance.

During the show that airs on Thursday (May 19), DeGeneres opened by mentioning to West that his wife, Kim Kardashian, has said her hubby should probably run his tweets by a "board of directors" before posting them, just in case. "Absolutely not," Kanye said when asked if that was a good idea, adding that he doesn't wish he could take back a single tweet. "What's the point of thinking?" he joked when Ellen asked if he ever wished he had thought out one of his 140-character rants for another minute.

Among the other things Kanye revealed in the interview:

He sometimes feels like Will Smith in The Pursuit of Happyness. "It's like you're trying to sell this bone density machine," he said, explaining why he hit up Facebook founder Zuckerberg up for $53 million to "help more people," if he only had more resources. "I have ideas that can make the human race existence within our 100 years better... period."

"I didn't take the Oscars as a joke," he said about the #oscarsowhite diversity movement at this years Academy Awards. "It was the moment like, 'all black actors can talk about the glass ceilings we've dealt with out in this town. You get your night... talk about how many times you've been blocked from being able to excel.'"

He was coy about whether the couple want more kids, but had absolutely no recollection of Ellen suggesting they name their son Saint.

Passionate about his ability to change the world, 'Ye also talked about how he's able to make music through "sonic painting" by using his skills of synethesia, the ability to see sound.

He called the CEO of Payless Shoes and pitched him on working together. "I have to be the Michael Jackson of apparel to break open the doors of everyone that will come after I'm gone," he said, using MJ's fight to be seen on MTV in the early 1980s as an example of crashing through barriers. He also went ahead and called himself "Wacko Kanye" before anyone else had a chance to.

"I'm sorry daytime television, I'm sorry for the realness," he said.
