Caught On Dashcam: Officer And Bystanders Pull Man Out From Burning Car

Car engine fires can get very serious incredibly quickly, and, thankfully for one man in Alaska, help arrived just in time, reports KTUU.

The Anchorage Police Department shared a dashcam video of the Sunday rescue, which shows an SUV tipped over on its side and smoke pouring from the vehicle's hood.

Bystanders are gathered doing what they can to save the man trapped inside.

Freeing the victim seems problematic, as his arm is wedged between the car and the road, notes the Alaska Native News.

According to the Huffington Post, Officer Mitchel Veenstra and bystanders finally succeed in freeing the driver, and not a moment too soon.

About a minute later, the fire spreads, consuming the entire vehicle.

According to the police, the man did not sustain any life-threatening injuries.
