Citi Field in New York City may be best known for the fact that it's home to MLB team the New York City Mets, but recently its parking lot was overtaken by festival goers. This weekend marked two energy-filled days filled with some of the biggest names in electronic music. The 5th annual Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), New York recently popped up, showcasing over 79,000 headliners so that fans could experience the vibrant sights and sounds, whimsical décor, playful costumed characters, and carnival rides at the event.

The parking lot completely transformed into one of the biggest festival spaces in the New York city area. And AOL.com was able to get a first-hand experience into the excitement. From the iconic Ferris Wheel to the incredible performers, we had the chance to get in on the action.
