Is Justin Bieber headed for a breakdown?

After a string of recent bizarre behavior, which includes walking barefoot in a park and feeding a squirrel, berating fans for asking for photos with him and acting weird on stage during his Purpose World Tour, sources close to the singer are expressing concern that he's on the brink of a breakdown.

On Monday, Bieber got people talking when he walked around a park in Boston without his shoes on. We're used to seeing him without a shirt, but without socks?! That was certainly a new one.

But he wasn't done there: He continued to turn heads when he started feeding a squirrel and telling fans who were filming him, "don't do that."

Possibly in response to his supposedly terrifying experience with his fans that day, Bieber took to Instagram to make a big announcement: He's "done" taking pictures with his fans. That's right, the Biebs is appreciative if you buy his albums or scream your heart out at his Purpose World Tour, but if you ask for a picture with him, your request will be denied.

"If you happen to see my out somewhere know that I'm not gonna take a picture," he wrote. "I'm done taking pictures."

"It's gotten to the point that people won't even say hi to me or recognize me as a human," he continued in his rant. "I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to keep my sanity."

After immediate backlash from his fans (and non-fans), Bieber posted a follow-up Instagram of a scathing comment from a fan calling him a "prick." In his response, Bieber said, "If you think setting boundaries is being a douche, I'm the biggest douche around, but I think it's smart and will be the only way I last."

"I wanna enjoy life and not be a slave to the world and their demands of what they think I need to do," he continued. "I'm going to keep making decisions I feel are fit for my growth and no human being will make me feel bad for it."

It seems that his latest string of social media posts point to a larger concern of Bieber's. According to a source close to the controversial singer, Bieber is "really struggling with the fact that he can't do things that normal people can do."

Not only does he reportedly want to live a normal life, but Bieber was also thrown for a loop when his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, was photographed over the weekend getting cozy with her other former flame, Orlando Bloom.

When Bieber heard about the pictures, he was allegedly "not happy [because] those two have quite a history."

Another source counters that, though: Perhaps his recent erratic behavior has nothing to do with Gomez. Perhaps the pressure of being the most talked about celebrity in the world is getting to him.

"It has nothing to do with Selena," another source explained. "It's more about Justin carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders."

Whatever it is, it seems as though Bieber is certainly in an iffy place right now.
