Julia Roberts hits Cannes red carpet barefoot

Julia Roberts apparently doesn't have a problem with cleanliness!

The 48-year-old actress hit the Cannes premiere of her new film "Money Monster" and she looked absolutely gorgeous in a black sweetheart style ballgown with a diamond choker, but it was what was underneath her dress that shocked everyone.

As Roberts was walking up the the stairs she showed off that she was completely barefoot underneath her gown. Perhaps walking up all those stairs in heels wasn't her cup of tea?

While the initial look of a ballgown and bare feet seems shocking, this isn't the first time Roberts has kicked off her shoes at an event and showed off her pedicured piggies. In 2013 at the BAFTA Brittania Awards, Roberts rocked a look sans shows. In 2014, she stopped by Ellen Degeneres' show and didn't bother wearing shoes either. In fact, she's becoming pretty well-known for opting to show off her ten toes on the red carpet.

At least this red carpet trend is better than a previous look she adopted -- not shaving her arm pits. Remember when she hit the "Notting Hill" red carpet and shocked the whole premiere with her unshaven underarms?
