You may think that becoming a veterinarian is the only available profession for an animal lover, but there are tons of interesting jobs you can apply to.

With Americans spending an estimated amount of over $60 billion (according to the American Pet Products Association) on their pets last year, it's no surprise pet jobs for animal care and service workers are expected to outpace jobs in other sectors and grow by 21 percent from 2008 to 2018 as reported by the Bureau of Labor.

Careers in the animal industry aren't limited solely to care and service, however, there are an abundance of opportunities in areas from science to research.
