Helen Mirren made her mark on the red carpet at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday, sporting a bright purple gown and special tattoo for the evening.

In a nod to Prince, who passed away April 21, Mirren was shown pointing to a small tattoo on her collarbone as she arrived at the event.

The mark was the symbol that the artist adopted in 1993 that led to people calling him "the Artist Formerly Known as Prince" until he changed the name back in 2000.

The Nightly Show's Larry Wilmore hosts the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner, held in Washington D.C.
