Kelly Ripa jokes about contract negotiations during her third day back on 'Live!'

Kelly Ripa was back to spouting her one-liners on Thursday's Live! With Kelly and Michael.

During a segment with wildlife expert Peter Gros, Ripa and her co-host Michael Strahan were introduced to the screaming hairy armadillo, that was indeed screaming. "I want to take him into contract negotiations with me!" Ripa joked.

"He always gets his way with a predator," Gros responded.

This was Ripa's third day back on Live! since it was announced that Strahan would be leaving the show to take a full-time position at Good Morning America. She was dressed in the same floral dress and coral heels that she was wearing on Tuesday when spotted leaving her New York City apartment carrying Anderson Cooper's new book.

A source close to the show told ET that the co-hosts are "playing nicely together" upon Ripa's return to Live!, and it looked that way in an Instagram video of Ripa and Strahan sharing a laugh backstage.

After Tuesday's Live!, ABC confirmed that Strahan would be leaving the daytime talk show on Friday, May 13, instead of September, which was initially announced.

A source close to Live! told ET that, as of right now, the show does not have anything special planned for the co-host's sendoff. "[Executive producer Michael] Gelman is debating as to how big of a deal to make it," the source said. "If it seems too celebratory, it'll seem disingenuous due to all the known drama."
