Teen Faces Robbery Charge After Allegedly Filling Water Cup With Soda At McDonald's

At fast food restaurants, it can appear that the self-serve fountain soda is a fairly unmonitored station, but it is not always the case.

A teen in Springdale, Arkansas allegedly filled a water cup with a fizzy beverage and has since been charged with felony robbery, reports WLS.

On Monday, 18-year-old Cody Morris and two friends went through a McDonald's drive-through and picked up 3 large waters.

The police report says they then parked, emptied the cups, and put soda in them.

Management demanded the drinks be surrendered. Two of them returned the soda, but Morris allegedly declined.

In his getaway attempt, the teen is said to have struck the manager with his car – twice.

Morris was later located, arrested, and jailed. He is slated to appear in court on Friday.
