Family seeks answers after loved one dies following dentist appointment

A family in Michigan is grieving and living with a tragedy after their loved one unexpectedly passed away.

On Friday, April Walters died reportedly in the moments following a dental procedure in Southfield that involved removing numerous infected teeth.

Though she suffered from a variety of ailments, including COPD high blood pressure, diabetes, and asthma, her doctor gave her the go-ahead to have the extractions done, reports WJBK.

According to the deceased woman's sister, an assistant warned the dentist that Walters' heart rate was accelerated, but the procedure was not delayed.

Afterwards, she began having difficulties breathing and died in the office parking lot, notes WJBK.

Relatives have set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the funeral expenses.
