"High School Musical" Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Disney Channel is looking for the next Zac Efron.

The networks said Tuesday that it is holding an open casting call for High School Musical 4 via an app.

Young actors, singers and dancers ages 14-17 can submit videos via the Disney Applause App, available on both iOS and Android. Auditions will be accepted starting Monday through May 2. (Guidelines on how to submit an audition can be found here.)

Disney said this isn't a content, nor is there a fee to audition.

The first High School Musical debuted on Disney Channel a decade ago and quickly became one of the network's biggest hits, selling millions of soundtracks and making household names out of its young cast, including Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale. A second film debuted on Disney Channel one year later, followed by High School Musical 3, which first premiered in theaters in 2008.

Dan Berendsen (Baby Daddy) and Peter Barsocchini (High School Musical) are the screenwriters. Bill Borden and Barry Rosenbush return as the executive producers.
