GREENACRES, Fla. (WPBF) -- When Paula D'Amore woke up on Thursday, she said she knew she was getting close to delivering her third child.

"It was early morning, around 1:30," D'Amore said.

D'Amore said she was in labor and having contractions about 15 minutes apart.

She said she called her birth team around 3 a.m. when the contractions increased.

D'Amore also had a birth photographer.

"I wanted to make sure it was documented because i really didn't have a lot of pictures of my two previous kids," D'Amore said.

She said she got in the bathtub to relax, but by the time it filled up with water, the contractions were a few minutes apart.

D'Amore and her husband, Joe, got into their SUV and got onto I-95.

"We got two blocks down and I said, 'I feel the urge to push," she said.

They never made inside the hospital.

Her baby wouldn't wait.

"We arrive in front of Boca Regional Hospital where the maternity wing is and I feel a burning sensation," D'Amore said.

"I touched and I felt a head and I'm like oh my GOD, this is happening right now," she said.

At 5:55, Daniella D'Amore was delivered in the parking lot.

"You would think it's chaotic, but it was like really calm and Christina allowed Joe to cut the cord, which was awesome," D'Amore said.

Mom and baby are doing fine.

Everyone is back in their Greenacres home.

Daniella has plenty of company.

She has two brothers, ages 4 and 2.
