Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky buy $3.4 million Malibu crash pad

Updated

When you're known for playing a thunderously-handsome god like Thor, you better have the house to match. Which is why Australian stud Chris Hemsworth and his wife, equally genetically-blessed actress Elsa Pataky, recently dropped $3.45 million on a new home for sale in Malibu, CA.

Just months after putting their former Malibu digs up for sale (and publicly announcing their decision to move their family to Australia), it seems the beach-loving couple isn't quite ready to quit California just yet. Their new four-bed, five-bath home is significantly smaller than their previous digs, but no less stylish: the contemporary-style beauty measures 4,612-square-feet. Built in 1979, it welcomes guests with tall Pella doors and windows that offer mountain and ocean view. With towering ceilings and polished concrete floors, the chef's kitchen features emerald quartz countertops, Sub-Zero appliances, and a 750-bottle refrigerated wine cellar. There's also an office, state-of-the art theater/family room, and the master suite includes a spa bath, Calcutta gold marble baths and showers, and dual walk-in closets.

But since they've claimed Australia as their official homeland, we're betting the family will spend most of their time at their Balinese retreat in exotic Byron Bay. Hey, we won't deny a Greek god like Thor a day at the beach!
