Boyd Holbrook will star as the key villain opposite Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart in Fox's "Wolverine 3."

Holbrook has signed on to star as the chief of security for a global corporation pursuing Jackman's Wolverine. The film will start shooing in May with James Mangold directing for David James Kelly's script.

Jackman has asserted that the third "Wolverine" film will be his final appearance as the character. Fox has scheduled "Wolverine 3" for March 3.

Holbrook starred on "Narcos," Netflix's 10-episode drama about the life of Pablo Escobar. His other credits include "Gone Girl," "Hatfields & McCoys" and a lead role opposite Elisabeth Moss in "The Free World."

Holbrook is repped by CAA.

More coming.
