While Tom Daley has achieved great success as both an Olympic diver and YouTube personality, the 21-year-old can now add 'viral meme star' to his already impressive resume.
Daley had no idea what was in store when he took to Twitter over the weekend to ask fans to help him design a cover photo. A seemingly innocent request turned into a media debacle when fans used the #COVERDALEY challenge to completely troll the young athlete.

The original photo, which featured an image of himself sitting with one leg up, looking into the abyss, was morphed, cropped, and flipped by countless social media users.
After the social media challenge began trending on Twitter, meme edits popped up everywhere including Daley with Vladimir Putin, Daley at the 'Last Supper' table, and even Daley hidden within a 'Where's Waldo' painting.
