Chihuahua Safe After Leading Police On 'High-Speed Pursuit' Across Bridge

KTLA -- Video on Sunday captured a Chihuahua leading San Francisco California Highway Patrol officers on a "high-speed pursuit."

A CHP motorcycle officer can be seen in video posted to the department's Twitter account around 7:40 a.m. capturing the chase on the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge.

The black Chihuahua was initially spotted on the bridge's north side, but it ran away when a motorcycle officer attempted to grab it, initiating the pursuit, according to localTV station KNTV.

The dog was eventually nabbed, according to the CHP, which posted in a tongue-in-cheek tweet that included a dog emoji and said the "suspect" was later "taken into custody."
