This pair of brand new best friends has provoked quite the emotional reaction from the Internet.
Twitter user Jessica Amante shared two photos of her grandpa, who lives in an assisted living community, with his new dog, Penny.
Grandpa Amante, who is 90 years old, asked his caregiver to take photos to send to his family -- and they are just too cute.
His daughter-in-law shared a few more photos on her Facebook page.
