He spoke from a hospital bed in Belgium, where he is expected to make a full recovery from his injuries. He recounted details of the first explosion, which he said physically lifted his body off the ground.

"I was actually conscious for all of it, even the several hours following," Wells said before describing where the explosions occurred.

"The blast was really loud. I remember feeling a lot of really hot and really cold feelings on the whole right side of my body," Wells said. "I was covered in a fair amount of blood."

Wells remembers seeing fire in front of his face and heard the second blast as he was running out of the airport.

Wells had gone to the Zaventem airport outside of the Belgian capital to drop someone off when the blasts occurred.

Shockingly, Wells was also present at the terrorist bombing at the Boston Marathon in 2013. Wells and his father were watching the conclusion of the race and only one block from the first explosion.

Wells even conducted an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer just after the Boston Marathon tragedy.
