With just 16 teams in Division 1 basketball left with games on their schedule, the rest of the schools have begun to focus on the 2016-17 season and beyond. For several programs, that means finding a new leader to help turn their fortunes around.

In the case of the TCU Horned Frogs, they were able to go into maybe the best conference in basketball this season and snag a coach who qualified for this year's March Madness. The school has hired Jamie Dixon, who spent the last 13 seasons as the head coach of the Pittsburgh Panthers:

It will be a homecoming for Jamie Dixon, who played his college basketball for TCU in the mid 1980's. Following a brief pro career overseas, Dixon entered the coaching world where he served as an assistant coach for nearly a decade and a half before being named the head coach at Pittsburgh in 2003.

During his time with the Panthers, Dixon led them to one Big East regular season championship and one tournament title. Things have been tougher since moving to the ACC for the school, finishing with 10 or more losses each year. This season, Pittsburgh qualified for the NCAA Tournament, where they lost in the first round to Wisconsin.

TCU had plenty of struggles last season, finishing the 2015-16 season with a record of 12-21 that included losing 14 of their last 15 regular season games. That result led to the firing of Trent Johnson as head coach.
