Amy Schumer left bartenders a $1,000 tip at Hamilton

Amy Schumer, tips, and Hamilton go well together: While enjoying the musical (again) on Saturday, the comedienne added $1,000 to her $77 bar bill. "At intermission, a member of her party came to the bar with another order and when he handed the receipt to my co-worker, he said, 'Amy wants to make sure you get this,'" bartender Madeleine DeJohn told Gothamist. Schumer has been to the show a few times, and during a previous visit left an $80 tip, reportedly saying, "I've been there, I get it, you guys are great." (While auditioning for her early roles, Schumer waited tables and tended bar in New York.) "Lots of love to my fellow bartenders and artists," Schumer told a reporter via Twitter. "I'm grateful to them and the cast and crew for another great night."
