Dog rescued from blazing apartment can't stop grinning

Firefighters in Parkville, Maryland made one dog very happy last week.

The furry one was trapped in a blazing apartment, but rescue workers were able to quickly extinguish the flames and get the pup to safety.

In photos of the March 11 event, the dog appears to be grinning while being carried away from the smoky home by crewmember Walter Sanders.

That picture and others from the scene were shared on the Providence Volunteer Firefighter's Facebook page, and have received many likes, shares, and supportive comments.

One person wrote, "Cute little pooch has good reason to smile. Bless the firefighters for caring about saving the family pet...they are heroes..."
