American Idolseason 11 winner Phillip Phillipsis lending his guitar jams for two original songs performed by Robert Redford.

Redford recorded vocals for a pair of songs that will be included on the soundtrack for the new Alec Baldwin and Demi Moore film Blind. The tracks were recorded at New York's Avatar studio with vocalist Sasha Lazard and produced by Chuck Palmer and Dave Eggar.

Eggar, who is in Phillips' band, invited the musician in on the session to play guitar, a publicist confirmed.

Redford, 79, is not appearing in the film, but is making his singing debut on the tracks.

Blind stars Baldwin as a novelist blinded in a car crash. He gets involved in an affair with Moore's character, the wife of an indicted businessman. The film is due to hit theaters this year.

A rep for Redford had not returned Billboard's request for confirmation by press time.
