Rethread a drawstring in seconds flat with this brilliant DIY hack

For me, there are few feelings in the world that compare to coming home from a long day at work and finally getting to trade my office clothes out for the comfiest loungewear in my closest.

There's just nothing like kicking off your heels, taking of your bra — especially if you've experienced signs you might be wearing the wrong size — and throwing on leggings and a comfy sweatshirt..

In fact, just about the only thing that can ruin this sheer bliss is pulling on your sweatshirt, tightening the drawstring to snuggle in, and then accidentally pulling the string all the way through the loop. Maddening, right?

From there, you are left with two options: painstakingly attempt to wriggle the string back into place, or give up on the sweatshirt altogether.

Fortunately, it turns out that with some very basic DIY skills, there's another way to save the day! In fact, all you need to return your sweatshirt to its former comfy glory is an ordinary drinking straw!

Watch the video below for a step-by-step tutorial.

Have you ever repaired a sweatshirt with this clever strategy, or do you have a different trick for putting drawstrings back into place?
