Freeform is keeping the Mortal Instruments in tune.

The cast of Shadowhunters on Monday (via a live Facebook chat) revealed that the supernatural drama has been picked up for a second season.

Based on Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments book series, Shadowhunters follows a young woman named Clary Fray (Katherine McNamara) who discovers on her 18th birthday that she's a destined to battle the forces of evil — and fall in love with a fellow Shadowhunter named Jace (Dominic Sherwood).
