Not everyone was a fan of the Duke and Duchess' ski vacation.

After photographs of Prince William, Kate Middleton and their kiddos, George and Charlotte, vacationing in the French Alps surfaced, the British press slammed the couple for their lack of commitment to public appearances and their lavish lifestyle.

Headlines like "too big for his snow boots" and "reluctant royal" surfaced in the media with many British outlets taking the opportunity to point fingers about William's workload and charitable commitments. After his work schedule was released, it was revealed that the 33-year-old royal made fewer appearances at events last year in comparison to his 94-year-old grandfather Prince Phillip and also does only half the amount of work as a regular citizen.

Prince William wasn't the only one in the hot seat. Middleton's incredible wardrobe was also under attack this week with PETA claiming that her ski gloves were lined with possum fur. The couple, who are very devoted to animal conservation, didn't comment on the fur fiasco.

Despite so many media outlets slamming the couple, they were back to work later this week making an appearance at St. Thomas Hospital in London.

And let's face it -- those cute photos of the family of four throwing snowballs were definitely worth the bad press.
