March 8th is International Women's Day -- and while we're all taking a few moments today to recognize the great women who have paved the way before us, and the great women who will continue to do so, there's also a few things we can do on this special day to help advance the lives and dreams of women and girls around the world.

Global brand EastPak has chosen to "explore the careers, lives and stories of 75 inspirational women who live and work in 11 cities around the globe," celebrating the incredible accomplishments of these women through their SheWears campaign, and it's absolutely worth a read.

Ann Taylor and LOFT are offering a few limited-edition designs, a range of handcrafted products made by artisan women in the Indian Himalayas. There are several items available from both brands -- from pashmina wool scarves to totes and more -- sales of which support women through the 100K Women Commitment.

Spring has asked the female founders of 33 companies to tell the tales of what they've learned so far through their business, and to help support their charity partner -- I AM THAT GIRL -- and each donation of which will be 100% matched by Spring. Working with individuals like Ulla Johnson, Rebecca Minkoff, Eileen Fisher and Melissa Joy Manning, it's a coming together of female powerhouses to support women and girls around the world.

Whether you're donating directly to a charity, purchasing something you know was created by female artisans, or simply recognizing the incredible works and accomplishments of women today, we all ought to take a moment to celebrate this important day. Where would we be, after all, without women?
