Take a peek at the cover for Elena and the Secret of Avalor which helps introduce Disney's first princess "inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore." The cover also shows off the Jaquins, magical flying creatures who befriend Elena and help her rule Avalor.

Elena and the Jaquins are debuting on a special primetime movie on the Disney Channel this summer, followed by the launch of her own series. The book goes on sale June 7.

The story centers on Elena, a 16-year-old ascendant to the throne of the enchanted fairytale kingdom of Avalor. On the animated show Aimee Carrero of Freeform's Young & Hungry voices Elena. Others doing voices include Jane the Virgin's Jenna Ortega, SNL'sChris Parnell and Community's Yvette Nicole Brown.

The book is written by Craig Gerber, the creator of Elena and the Sofia the First series, from which Elena is spun off from, and long-time children's writer Catherine Hapka. Disney storybook artist Grace Lee provides the illustrations. The three previously teamed up on the Sofia the First: The Floating Palace book, which earns Lee a Children's Choice Book Award for illustrator of the Year in 2014.
