Thieves in UK have come up with a creative way to steal bikes
Thieves in London have come up with a deceptive way to steal bikes.
They are reportedly sawing through bike racks and masking the cuts with tape.
Once a bicycle is locked to the structure, all the thief would need to do is to peel back the tape, pull apart the disconnected ends, and slide the lock out.
Sarah King, a local council representative, was one of the victims.
After the incident, she tweeted, "Cyclists please watch out for gaffer tape on bike racks covering up that they're cut straight through."
A police officer in the Camberwell neighborhood also issued a public warning on Twitter that thefts have occurred "after being locked to sabotaged racks."
