While the Oscars officially celebrates film, it unofficially celebrates fashion. Plunging gowns were all the rage this year, both for plunging necklines and backs, which makes the whole undergarment situation a mystery. Ruffles and frills were popular as well, worn by Cate Blanchett and Heidi Klum, who may have missed the mark a little bit with her '70s-inspired purple gown.
