Eleven years ago, a tragic accident at Shalom Nchom's family restaurant left her with severe burns across her face. After struggling with her self-confidence for several years, Nchom is now a successful makeup artist using social media to send a powerful message to her some 40K fans.

Under the username makeupbyshalom, the Maryland resident posts makeup tutorials of her dramatic transformations, inspiring others to be confident about the way they look -- with or without makeup on.
