When you think of a tattoo artist do you think of a philanthropist?

Brian Finn has been a tattoo artist for twenty years and believes that tattoos can transcend art and be used for good.

He spends his days off offering his services free of charge to those with scars from domestic abuse, human trafficking, or self harm.

One woman, Maddie Keating, read about his services in the local paper and contacted him about covering up the scars on her left arm that were the result of years of self-harm.

Keating was thrilled with the result and told NPR that she used to look at her arm and think, "Wow, that's so sad that I was so sad, [but] now I get to have this beautiful rose that Brian drew for me."
