Winning album of the year at the 2016 Grammys may have been a major career honor for Taylor Swift, but this week, the singer also got to experience a very special moment in her personal life: being a maid of honor for the first time.

Swift was maid of honor for one of her childhood best friends, Britany Maack, People reports.

Maack married Benjamin LaManna in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Feb. 20. The ceremony was held at the chapel of the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters near Alvernia University, followed by a reception at Berkshire Country Club in Bern Township, according to Reading Eagle.

Both Swift and Maack wore dresses designed by Reem Acra, seen in part in the picture shared by People below (and in full here).

"I've never been a maid of honor before," Swift -- who certainly lived up to those maid of honor duties when she brought her friend to the Reem Acra showroom in New York to try on wedding dresses over the summer -- previously said. "This is my first time, and it's really, really important to me because this is my best friend, who I've known since I was born. And she's marrying someone I've known since I was 4."

Last year, Swift posted the sweet note Maack sent that asked "Will you be my maid of honor?" on Instagram. "You are more than a friend, you are more than a best friend, you are my sister. I cannot imagine having any one else by my side on my wedding day," Maack wrote.
