Jo Frost Alerts Child Protective Services When She Believes She Hears A Child Getting Spanked

Jo Frost spoke to ET on Friday after Jo Frost: Nanny on Tour cameras captured footage of what sounded to her like a child being spanked with a belt.

The footage aired Thursday night on the UPtv reality show. While the incident takes place behind closed doors, there is audio of what appears to be 9-year-old Marcus Spivey sobbing after walking into a bedroom with his father, Chris, who seemed to be holding a belt.

"I was very concerned with the surveillance footage I had seen," Frost told ET over Skype.

Frost alerted the Division of Family and Children Services in Georgia, but Chris maintains he never hit Marcus while they were in the bedroom. Chris claims that Marcus was only crying because he was scared.

SUPERNANNY - 'McGrath Family' - Bill and Tammy McGrath of Hamlin, New York, have three beautiful young children, and their middle son, Aiden, 5, was recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Managing his illness is very anxiety-provoking for Tammy, because she saw her father die of diabetes at just 46 years of age. She sees Aiden's diagnosis as her worst fears realized, and mealtime has become a battlefield. Aiden makes power plays, refusing to eat, which not only threatens his own health and frightens Tammy, but causes problems for both parents in adjusting Aiden's insulin levels. The other kids, Liam, 4, and Paige, 9, feel their parents' distraction and are frustrated by it -- Paige hides out in her bedroom and Liam acts out aggressively. Jo pinpoints Bill and Tammy's problems communicating effectively and enforcing discipline -- their versions of timeouts are useless. Can she help Bill and Tammy regain control of their family?, on 'Supernanny,' FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 27 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. SUPERNANNY - 'Mann Family' -- Mark and Melissa Mann have four young children - Naomi (5), whom they call the 'mistress of mayhem,' and triplets Norah, Nathanial and Madeleine (3). Since the triplets' birth, Naomi has come to rule the roost with her defiance, screaming and tantrums, and the chaos spreads to the younger ones. The parents' discipline technique involves telling the children to 'trust and obey' while paddling them with a wooden spoon, followed by a hug. But this isn't working at all, as the kids constantly push the boundaries, and Dad says he's 'downright desperate.' He feels incapable of caring for the kids solo on occasion -- a simple outing to the local beach is a disaster, with the children running off into harm's way, and Mom is stung by angry comments directed at her by Naomi. In addition, getting the kids to bed is a nightmare. Can Jo Frost help? 'Supernanny' airs FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 5 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. SUPERNANNY - 'Atkinson Family' - When Jennifer and John Atkinson of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, married four years ago, they had a dream of blending their existing families and having more children, too. Jennifer already had two teenagers, Amanda, 14, and Abbey, 13, and John shares custody of his daughter, Julia, age 10, from a previous marriage. The couple then had two children together: Reese, 4, and Maeve, 2 1/2 years old. However, their hopes of creating a harmonious new family fell short, and they are officially at their wits' end. The oldest, Amanda, treats her mom terribly, openly defying her and bringing Jennifer to tears when she tells her she wishes her mom was dead. Reese has tremendous separation anxiety whenever John leaves the house and actually endangers herself by running pell-mell towards the street when he departs. Jo observes that the parents are coddling the children, being inconsistent about rules and parenting the children differently from each other. Can Jo get through to this family before it fractures? SUPERNANNY - 'Swift Family' - All the cooks in this kitchen go by different recipes. Jenny's parenting style tends to be inattentive, while Grandma is the most regimented, being an ex-schoolteacher. Nanny Kadie was thrown into the mix to tend to the kids' needs and to cook meals, but was never given any kind of game plan by Jenny and Tony on disciplining the kids. With so many authority figures involved, the kids act differently with everyone, which pits the adults against each other. Dad feels that Grandma undermines his parenting decisions and priorities for his kids, and Jenny is just plain overwhelmed by the exhausting demands of so many youngsters. Can Jo help fix the Swift family? Find out on 'Supernanny,' FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 19 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. When ET reached out to D.F.C.S., they said state law prohibits them from either confirming or denying any investigation, but we do know that corporal punishment is legal in the state of Georgia as long as the child is not injured.

Still, Frost does not think that corporal punishment should be used in the home.

"It's not an effective way to discipline a child," she said.
