Ali Larter switches up her hair from red to blonde

Blondes really do have more fun -- at least Ali Larter thinks so!

The 39-year-old actress showed off her switch back to her signature blonde locks on Friday after months of being a redhead for her role in the "Resident Evil" flick.

According to Larter, her mane switch took more than 12 hours and at one point she had "tangerine" hair on her way to getting back to blonde. Larter can thank hair guru Tracey Cunningham for her new sandy hair color.

She posted a photo of her new hair on Instagram with the caption, "Blonde after 12 hours! Thank you @traceycunningham1 for bringing me back to my roots! #nofilter."

We have to admit, blonde or red, Larter looks good either way.
